Council approves amended salary guidelines requiring annual market comparisons

The South Ogden City Council unanimously approved Resolution 25-22 on June 17 to amend salary compensation guidelines. Assistant City Manager Summer Palmer presented the rationale and the council discussed the proposed changes.
Council Member Doug Stephens moved to approve the resolution and Council Member Mike Howard seconded; the council additionally required that staff add a line in the guidelines directing staff to report annual market comparisons to the council by the second meeting in April each year. The resolution passed by unanimous roll-call vote.
