Mayor Westborough told the council that Joel had expressed interest in serving as a voting member on the Legislative Policy Committee (LPC) during the legislative session. "Joel has expressed an interest in, taking on the LPC, being 1 of the voting members there," the mayor said; council agreed that Joel, the mayor and a third member would act as the council's voting delegation.
Councilmembers noted LPC meets throughout the legislative session and coordinates with the Utah League of Cities and Towns on policy matters. No formal vote was recorded beyond the council's verbal affirmation that Joel will serve as one of the three voting members and that a mayor or alternate would fill the remaining slot.
