During the May 20, 2026 Rolla Board of Equalization meeting, staff notified the board of three parcel-specific assessment changes that will appear in 2026 valuation records. The minutes list increases for the following parcels and owners: Matthew and Marian Peterson (Parcel 29-0014-29678-000), an increase of $15,000; Booth Inc. (29-0001-29208-000), an increase of $14,100; and Tyler Bergsrud (29-0028-29902-000), an increase of $229,200.
Those parcel notices were presented by Wendy Belgarde, Rolette County Tax Director, and Rebecca Albert, Rolla City Assessor, as part of the staff recommendation process. The council voted to approve the assessments as presented and to increase commercial taxable valuation citywide by 3%; the minutes record a four-to-one roll call with one "NAYE" vote by Councilmember Paul Frydenlund and also include the phrase "Motion carried unanimously," which the minutes themselves present as contradictory.
