Council adopts Ordinance No. 2025-009 to keep current employee health plan, citing retention

Council member Chris Colvin said Mr. Hough of Wade Insurance presented several options but that the Finance Committee recommended retaining the current insurance plan because potential savings under other plans were small and changing plans would disrupt employees. Finance Director Jamie Morley agreed that the marginal savings were not worth the upheaval. No changes to premium amounts or plan details were recorded in the minutes beyond that committee recommendation.
