Waynesville swears in two reserve officers; chief reports grant application and code enforcement actions

At the March 17 meeting Mayor Earl Isaacs swore in Reserve Officer Shawn Hershner. Council President Pro Tem Chris Colvin swore in Reserve Officer Ted Bruner; Bruner is retired from the Darke County Sheriff’s Department and Hershner has worked with the Warren County Drug Task Force and is active military.
Chief Gary Copeland reported that he applied for the Ohio Law Enforcement Bulletproof Vest Program grant that would cover 75% of replacement vest costs for officers. Copeland also said Officer Denlinger was instructed to require the Hammel House owner to begin repairs following a fire or face code citations.
