Village Manager Gary Copeland told council that ODOT put the Route 42 and North Street paving project out to bid. Barrett Paving submitted the lowest bid but the bid was 7% higher than the Village’s budgeted amount; ODOT District 8's Safety Program will cover the increased paving cost.
Copeland also reported the Village has received $128,000 from County Vehicle Tax funds that, in part, cover the Village’s contribution (noted as $250 in the minutes) to the project. No contract award was ratified during the March 17 meeting; council received the update as part of the Village Manager’s report.
