The Waynesville Finance Committee voted 2-1 on Feb. 18 to change the time format on all meeting minutes from military time to “civilian time.” Mrs. Miller moved the change; Mrs. Miller and Mr. Colvin voted in favor and Mr. Lauffer voted no.
Mrs. Miller introduced the motion asking the committee to “change the time on all minutes moving forward from Military time to ‘Civilian Time.’” Supporters said the change would make minutes easier for many residents to read; the committee recorded the result and moved on to the next agenda items. No additional procedural changes were adopted at that time.
