Avon Board approves staff appointments, substitutes and a probationary music teacher

The Avon Central School District Board of Education approved a series of personnel actions on Aug. 25, including annual appointments for extracurricular roles and multiple substitute appointments. The minutes list Stephanie Campbell as Drama Club Advisor/Producer and Madison DeWater as Middle School Musical Music Director for the 2025–26 school year.
The board approved substitute appointments for Carol Bellonte (food service worker, effective 8/28/25), Michaelle Hawkins (teacher/TA/aide sub for UPK–12 effective 8/28/25), Aurora Whiting (teacher/TA/aide sub for UPK–12 effective 8/28/25), and Sam DiPasquale (substitute groundskeeper effective 8/1/25). The board also approved a probationary appointment for Kathryn Imes as a music teacher (effective on or about 9/24/25 with a probationary period ending on or about 9/23/29). Committee on Special Education and Committee on Preschool Special Education minutes (8/11, 8/14) were accepted for the record.
