Olds Products expansion approved: 96,726-square-foot addition and zoning changes cleared

The Plan Commission approved multiple items to enable Olds Products of Illinois, doing business as Olds Products, to expand its Lakeview Corporate Park facility. Staff described a proposed 96,726-square-foot addition, removal/relocation of existing storm sewer, a new water main loop and driveway connection to 88th Avenue, and a plan to combine two vacant parcels to create approximately 28 acres with more than 1,000 feet of frontage on 88th Avenue. Construction was proposed to begin in March 2026 with completion in spring 2027.
Staff explained the addition includes a 40-foot low-bay area and a 100-foot high-bay area to accommodate equipment; the high-bay requires increased setbacks (a minimum 120 feet from the property line adjacent to 88th Avenue and 80 feet from side and rear property lines). Applicant Augie Ramin identified himself at the hearing, said Olds Products has been in Pleasant Prairie since 1995 and that the company is "excited to keep expanding here." Motions to approve the CSM, site/operation plans, Plan Commission Resolution 26-03 (comp-plan amendment) and the zoning map amendment were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
