Avon superintendent reports construction progress; counseling spaces, multipurpose HVAC behind schedule

Superintendent Ryan Pacatte updated the Avon Central School District Board of Education on facilities work, saying construction continues across multiple buildings. He reported the art classrooms and elementary library are coming together and the elevator is nearing completion, but counseling spaces are not planned to be ready before students return.
Pacatte also told the board additional HVAC is being installed in the 5–6 wing and the high school. Work on the multipurpose room’s HVAC is on hold until more competitive bids can be gathered, and the stage rigging and lighting project will be rebid next month with work to ideally begin after the high school musical.
