Avon to combine football teams as participation declines; new shared-sports agreements added

The district is signing intermunicipal agreements to share sports with neighboring districts and is adding a combined modified alpine ski team for the season.
Pacatte described an existing umbrella five-year agreement among districts with annual addenda for each sport; the arrangements are intended to preserve opportunities for student participation where single-district rosters would be insufficient. The Board received the report as part of regular leadership updates; no formal vote was recorded on the item.
