The Avon Central School District Board on Aug. 11 approved a set of required plans covering crisis response, technology incident response and a range of instructional and student-support frameworks.
Karen Vanderbilt moved, and Kyle Montague seconded, passage of the "Required Crisis, Emergency, Safety, & Response Plans" along with the District Disaster Recovery plan, District Technology Incident Response Plan, Emergency Response Plans for each school level, the Annual Professional Performance Review plan, MTSS, SOAR, the Social Emotional Well-Being Plan, the Special Education Plan and the Universal Pre-Kindergarten Plan. The motion carried 5–0.
Board members said the plans will be reviewed as implementation proceeds and that the approved documents form the district framework for safety, technology incident handling, instructional performance review and social-emotional supports.
