On June 9 the committee opened and read timber-sale bids as required by procedure. Jon Harris announced that tract numbers were drawn randomly and bids were read in that order; the committee noted bidders may withdraw a bid prior to the opening for that tract.
Dennis Cummings moved and Jacob Moss seconded a motion directing staff to accept the high bids most advantageous to Douglas County after staff review for accuracy and bidder qualifications; the motion carried. The committee did not record final awards at the meeting; staff review and qualification checks were authorized before final acceptance.
