The committee approved a request from the St. Croix Headwaters Foundation to donate and install a wooden life-jacket kiosk at Lucius Woods County Park for public use. The structure will include a sign identifying the Foundation as provider; all purchasing, construction, installation, and ongoing maintenance are the responsibility of the foundation and the kiosk will be available on an honor system.
Steve Long moved the approval and Dennis Cummings seconded; the motion carried. Department staff will review and approve the final design and installation location before work proceeds; the county will bear no cost for purchase, installation, or future maintenance according to the motion recorded in the meeting packet.
