"We put together 150 hundred and 50 buckets, like we did last year for our Hillsborough event," the presenter said while explaining volunteers and local donors helped supply the kits and staff ran the tests free of charge for attendees.
Separately, staff reported an increase in nitrate testing this season: "I think in the last probably 2 weeks, we've had probably 35," a staff member said. The department flagged that nitrates are at least double what they usually are this year, and said it will follow up as results return and continue water-safety outreach.
