Summary
CSN NJRE LLC, represented by attorney Frederick Zelle, asked the board for a one-year extension to begin work at 5 Brookside Ave after structural foundation problems delayed repairs; the board approved a one-year extension, with the new target date discussed as March 27, 2027.

Frederick Zelle, counsel for CSN NJRE LLC, told the board that structural problems discovered during renovation work forced a delay in starting the approved renovations at 5 Brookside Avenue (Block 701, Lot 45). He said engineering and remedial work took longer than expected and that the applicants now seek a one-year extension as permitted by township ordinance.
Board professionals confirmed a pre-drafted resolution had been circulated and there were no material changes to the previously approved plans. After brief discussion about the lapsed time period, a board member moved to grant a one-year extension (the board discussed a target date of March 27, 2027), and the motion carried on roll call.
