9-1-1 director presents call analytics, new standards and a phone-system funding request

"So far this year, we've addressed 224 subdivision lights," the director said when summarizing address/asset work and analytics provided to the commission. He recommended adopting an addressing standard for the county to ensure consistent addressing for 9-1-1 dispatch and said the 9-1-1 budget has a modest capital balance (about $12,992) that could be used toward a new telephone system to replace aging equipment. Commissioners discussed the need to follow procurement rules for larger purchases and asked staff to bring a clear funding and procurement plan to the next meeting and the 9-1-1 board.
