The commission voted to approve an appropriation to cover administrative costs if needed and to allow staff to continue coordination with Coosa Valley.
Officials said the appropriation would facilitate engineering and administration to ensure projects that tie county water systems together can move forward; commissioners noted that the main goal is expanding and connecting systems to prevent future water shortages.
