The Burke Town Board discussed preparations for a Justice Grant during the Sept. 9 meeting and set steps to advance the application.
Board members agreed that three bids are required for each project element. Tim Crippen said he would contact Adirondack Alarms about adding outside security cameras. Paddy Wheeler and Supervisor Bill Wood will work on plans for a fireproof records room and barriers around the generator and fuel tanks. The minutes record: "Three bids are needed for each and grant application must be submitted by October."
The board did not set final design details or funding allocations at the meeting; members said they would return with bids and more detailed proposals before the grant deadline.
