On Aug. 6 the Board approved the consent agenda items by unanimous vote. Notable items included acceptance of the FY 2019 Police Traffic Services Grant in the amount of $51,527 from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety Division of Public Safety Planning and ratification of documents relating to a Section 592 Project Partnership Agreement tied to a $1,192,500 grant for water improvements.
The consent agenda also authorized transfer of funds related to conference center and Golf Course projects, approved multiple claims dockets, and included a Resolution asking the Mississippi Legislature to consider diverting a portion of use/internet sales tax to assist municipalities with public infrastructure maintenance in any forthcoming special session. The motions were approved without recorded opposition.
