Burke board approves Sellars Field repairs to be done by Volunteer Fire Department

Supervisor Bill Wood and the Burke Town Board voted on Sept. 9 to approve repairs at Sellars Field to be carried out by the Burke Volunteer Fire Department.
Kyle Johnston of the Burke Volunteer Fire Department told the board that "The Fire Dept. is willing to do the work, including cement and some electrical work." Tim Crippen moved to approve the repairs and Jim Otis seconded; the motion passed on a roll call vote with Tim Crippen, Jim Otis, Paddy Wheeler and Bill Wood voting aye and Eric Ashlaw recorded as absent.
The board did not set a completion date during the meeting; members indicated the department will coordinate details with town staff before beginning work.
