Commissioners approve road-use agreements and intersection modifications to support oil-field traffic

The March 26 meeting record shows the court approved several temporary and six-month road-use agreements in Precinct 3 and approved performing work on private property to modify the intersection at County Roads 391 and 348. Commissioners said the changes are intended to support current and projected oil-field traffic and to improve traffic flow and safety.
Commissioner Kyle Workman moved the approvals and Commissioner T. J. Foley seconded. The court also approved a resolution under the Transportation Code and Health and Safety Code to install "No Thru Trucks" signage on CR 348 between CR 391 and Highway 7. Additionally, the court directed County Attorney Keith Cook to modify road-use agreements to require utilities working on Leon County rights-of-way to follow county terms.
