Director Dunleavy described plans for a by-invitation senior roundtable to bring Benicia-area nonprofits and service providers together to coordinate resources for seniors. The proposed meet-and-greet is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. at the community center, and staff asked for commission volunteers to attend. "So we are hosting our 1st senior roundtable, which is going to be a meet and greet...on Thursday, September 18 at 10AM at the community center," Dunleavy said.
Commissioners volunteered to serve as the ad hoc group (Vice Chair Stewart and Commissioner Kolk agreed to attend; Commissioner Peterson said she would try to adjust her schedule). The commission voted to create the ad hoc committee; roll call in the transcript recorded 'yes' responses from the clerk for Chairperson Bagua, Vice Chair Stewart, Commissioner Kolk, Commissioner O'Brien, Commissioner Peterson and others present. Staff said follow-up emails and logistics would be provided to ensure attendees and a report back to the commission.
