The Oconto County Department of Health and Human Services Board convened June 3, 2026 at New Heights in Gillett and approved its agenda and the May 6, 2026 meeting minutes. Chair Tom Bitters called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m.; motions to approve the agenda (moved by Kathy Gohr, seconded by Stephanie Holman) and the minutes (moved by Stephanie Holman, seconded by Tracy Winkler) were both "voted on and carried" as recorded in the minutes.
Later in the meeting, following brief explanations from Deputy Director Brandon Daul, Public Health Officer Jaelyn Scanlan, and Family Services Manager Carrie Kleinschmidt, the Board approved out-of-state travel for three items: the BS&A Conference, the Red Cross Mass Care Expo, and a Child Welfare travel request. The motion to approve travel was moved by Bart Schindel, seconded by Stephanie Holman, and recorded as carried; the minutes do not record a numerical vote tally.
