Committee updates Weapons‑Firearms policy to add forester, addressing and LIS titles to authorized list

Assistant Forest, Parks & Recreation Administrator Drew Koenigs requested adding the forester position to the list of authorized positions under the department’s Weapons‑Firearms Policy. LIS Administrator Dave Poffinbarger asked to add the Addressing Coordinator and to change existing position titles (remove LIS/Admin/County Surveyor/LIO and Assistant County Surveyor) to updated titles.
A motion by Pat Scanlan and Tim Cole to change the Weapons‑Firearms Policy authorized positions to add the Forester, Addressing Coordinator, LIS Administrator and County Surveyor (and to remove the older titles) was voted on and carried. The motion updates the personnel list in the policy; training and implementation were discussed during the item.
