Engineers give timeline for OSLAD park work, aim to open parking by May 1

Chamlin Engineering representatives Tim Harris and Josh Washkowiak updated the Village of Sheffield board on the status of the OSLAD-funded park project, saying Contract 1 targets completion of the parking area by May 1, 2026 to accommodate summer baseball.
Harris and Washkowiak told trustees that Contract 2 is currently out for bid with a bid opening scheduled for Feb. 27, 2026; that phase includes construction of the concession stand, a shelter and installation of lighting, with anticipated completion in Fall 2026. Contract 3 will address specific equipment purchases at a later date.
