The Byron-Bergen Jr./Sr. High will begin the school day at 7:39 a.m. under a revised bell schedule announced at the Aug. 26 board meeting. The new schedule introduces three lunch periods, 43-minute class periods and an Advisement period for grades 6–8. The board acknowledged facility work over the summer to create a new conference room, refresh cafeteria spaces (including Core Values and Alumni Hall of Fame displays), and update the main office and foyer.
Administrators also noted that 6th-grade orientation is complete and 9th-grade orientation is scheduled. The board recorded five new hires at the Jr./Sr. High for the coming year. These operational changes were presented as informational items and recorded in the minutes.
