County details bridge starts, STP schedule and disaster-aid eligibility for culvert replacement

Highway Commissioner Brandon Hytinen briefed the committee on multiple capital and maintenance projects. He reported culvert replacement and paving activity on CTH‑F, mastic work being done on four lanes, and shouldering and mowing operations; he also confirmed the CTH‑CC bridge project will start June 15 and the Smyth Road bridge design is under review by the State Historic Preservation Office.
Hytinen said the county was notified it is eligible for disaster aid to replace a culvert on CTH‑S and that the CTH‑C STP (Surface Transportation Program) project is scheduled for work from June 8 through August 28.
