Superintendent Mr. Evangelist and Assistant Superintendent for Business Mrs. Jones described the proposal as "structurally balanced, with revenues equal to expenditures, totaling approximately $59.8 million," noting it was developed using projected State figures while the State budget remains unfinalized.
Administrators said the budget depends heavily on State aid, which constitutes roughly 70% of projected revenue, and that the proposed property tax levy increase is set at the allowable cap of 2.75%. To achieve structural balance the administration cited reductions including staffing decreases—primarily through attrition—and cuts to equipment, conferences, and some BOCES services. The board approved the related Property Tax Report Card and authorized submission to the State Education Department.
