Parents press Skokie SD 69 on bullying, mental health and timely communication

Madison and Edison parents Emily O'Neill and Nick Ehrhardt asked the board to address bullying and mental health; others including Kate Danzinger and Kim Rivas asked for timelier communication from the schools and expressed appreciation for administrators' work.
Louis Perez, a former student and Eagle Scout, thanked staff (Mr. Cervantes, Mr. Tinetti and Superintendent Clauson) for supporting his Eagle Scout effort to improve the Gaga Pit. Several parents also specifically raised concerns about potential impacts to Community Schools programming if competitive federal grants are reduced.
