At the April 15 School District 69 Board meeting, Superintendent Margaret Clauson announced Moody’s had upgraded the district’s credit rating from Aa3 to Aa2, calling the change an indicator of stronger district finances and improved borrowing prospects. Clauson said an upgrade could lower future borrowing costs if the district issues bonds for building improvements.
Clauson also reported the district was selected for an ISBE financial monitoring review covering multiple grants and procedures; she said the preliminary report indicated no significant findings. Separately, the board publicly opened one sealed bid for paving work at multiple sites from Chicagoland Paving Contractors, Inc., with a base bid of $105,000; later in the meeting the board accepted that bid.
