District 69 board approves posting for Administrator for Human Resources

The Skokie School District 69 Board voted March 18 to post a new Administrator for Human Resources position to take effect in the 2025-26 school year. Superintendent Dr. Margaret Clauson told the Board the role will centralize recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance evaluation, employee development and compliance with labor law; she said "it has become increasingly evident that a position focused on managing all aspects of employee relations" is needed.
Clauson told the board that HR duties are currently spread across multiple roles and that centralization should reduce fragmentation and confusion for employees. She said the district anticipates that "the cost of this role will be partially funded through savings in legal expenses." The Board approved posting the job and the position will be publicly advertised in the coming weeks.
