Comanche County Facilities Authority approves one-month legal contract, payroll and vendor claims

The Comanche County Facilities Authority on June 1 approved a short-term contract with Collins, Zorn & Wagner for professional legal services effective June 1 through June 30, 2026 and authorized payment from the use-tax account chosen by the Comanche County Board of Commissioners.
The motion to approve the contract was made by Josh Powers and seconded by Johnny Owens; Powers, Owens and Ryan John voted aye and there were no nays. The board also voted to acknowledge using the designated use-tax account to pay the firm. The meeting record lists the contract term as June 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026.
In the same meeting the authority approved payroll and vendor claims. The detention center payroll was listed as $127,721.25. Vendor claims included Mark's Plumbing for $4,263.30 and PSO electric for $12,280.42; McKesson medical-supply claims were $61.38 and $117.20. Emergency Management payroll was listed at $12,157.33 and emergency management blanket purchase orders included Glenn Oil Co. fuel for $600 and Amazon supplies for $350.
The board handled these items as routine business; Ryan John moved to approve the claims and purchase orders and Josh Powers seconded. The motions on contract and claims passed with unanimous recorded votes. With no further business, the authority adjourned.
