Facilities Authority approves CPA engagement change, claims and inmate-housing payments

The Comanche County Facilities Authority met June 8 in Room 302 of the Comanche County Courthouse and approved several administrative items, including a change to its CPA engagement and a slate of claims and purchase orders.
Member Josh Powers moved and Vice-Chairman Ryan John seconded routine approvals; the board recorded unanimous aye votes from Powers, John and Chairman Johnny Owens. The meeting record notes, "There were none" when the public-comment period was opened and no members of the public spoke.
The Authority approved rescinding the prior engagement letter with Christopher Turner, CPA PLLC and approved a replacement engagement because of a change in scope. The motion said the fee would change "from $20,100.00 under the original letter to $25,500.00." The board also approved a claims docket that included inmate-housing payments to Washita County for $134,900.00 and to Grady County for $40,315.00, City of Lawton water charges of $5,009.09, and an ARPA-funded services payment to Stolz Telecom of $25,457.23.
Payroll withholdings and benefit payments were listed in the docket, including OPERS at $26,868.54 and EGID at $53,530.64. With no items under new business the Authority adjourned following a motion by Ryan John and a second by Josh Powers.
