Council asks for reduced-scope bids on Town Hall parking improvements

Chief Berry asked the council to reduce the scope of previously proposed Town Hall parking lot improvements and to obtain new, lower-cost estimates focused on ADA compliance, curbing, lighting and parking configuration. Council members agreed they would like to see cost estimates at the reduced scope before authorizing work.
Mayor Johann Wallace asked Chief Berry to bring the revised quotes back to a future meeting; no contract or expenditure was authorized March 26. The council specifically requested attention to ADA requirements and costs for a simplified scope of work.
