The Huachuca City Council on Jan. 8 authorized repairs to the town's Caterpillar D6 dozer/tractor at an estimated cost of $47,282.63. Staff member Michael Fox told the Council that issues discovered during routine maintenance required replacement of worn parts to keep the machine operational.
Mayor Johann Wallace moved to approve the repair authorization and the motion was seconded; the Council approved the action unanimously. The repair authorization is intended to maintain public-works capacity for town maintenance tasks and was described in staff remarks as necessary to keep the machine running.
