The Fairfield Selectboard voted on July 27 to include the local Justice of the Peace race on the Nov. 3 general election ballot after nominations were received. Ron Bocash made the motion, Damian Branon seconded, and the board recorded the motion as carried "all in favor."
Town Clerk Demetrius Bolduc reported he will attend a tabulator class on Wednesday and complete testing by Aug. 1 to ensure election equipment readiness. The board's approval sends the clerk forward with preparing the ballot and coordinating the state mailing to active voters.
