Selectboard chair Mike DeSocio reported follow-up with the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation and said FEMA has not requested an historic review for the Hill Road stone-arch bridge repairs. MD explained preservation staff indicated a review may not have been required because no work is occurring on the bridge’s historic section and advised the Town to proceed with repairs.
The board had earlier discussed that Hill Road will remain closed through September while repairs continue, with no exact completion date available. During public comment, a resident criticized the Town’s notification about the closure.
