The Planning and Zoning Commission granted extensions, on motions and unanimous votes, for two final plats in the Hickory Grove development in the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction.
Matt Bodine presented FP-2062 (Hickory Grove Phase 5), an 88-acre final plat in the ETJ that did not meet criteria for approval at this time; staff said it had no objection to granting the applicant's request for a date-certain extension to March 18, 2026. Commissioners moved to approve the extension and the motion passed 6-0.
A second final plat, FP-26-3 (Hickory Grove Phase 6), a 67-acre ETJ residential plat, likewise did not meet full criteria and the commission granted an extension to March 18, 2026 on a 6-0 vote. The actions preserve the applicants' ability to return with revisions by the new deadline.
