Planning commission approves Crunch Fitness site plan, developer to build restroom the city will maintain

Senior planner Mia Hines presented the Razor Ranch zoning compliance plan (ZCP25‑38) for a 3.872‑acre site proposing a one‑story, roughly 26,000‑square‑foot indoor fitness center, an outdoor recreation area and a public restroom to be constructed by the developer and dedicated to the City of Denton for maintenance. "As proposed, the indoor recreation facility or fitness center is, approximately 26,000 square feet," Hines said while walking commissioners through parking and landscape commitments.
Commissioners asked whether bike racks should be placed nearer the standalone restroom and who would take responsibility for cleaning and maintenance; Hines said parks staff are coordinating maintenance acceptance after construction. Commissioner McDuff moved to accept staff's recommendation and Commissioner Riggs seconded; after discussion the commission voted 7‑0 to approve the site plan.
