Olson said the draft specifies the Village area and animal types, and she recommended monthly reporting by the contractor so the Village can track calls. Chief Hansell and Olson raised concerns about after-hours availability: the proposed arrangement would have animal-control staff respond to officer-initiated calls after hours rather than respond to resident requests directly. Olson said county staffing shortages may limit detailed reporting. Attorney Brandon Clark advised that the Village should make a formal written proposal and expect revisions from the county or provider.
