Court weighs audit options after vendor estimates exceed $100,000

"They said to do a complete audit for it should take about 5 weeks to get it done, and it'd be over a $100,000," S6 said, according to the meeting record.
S6 said the court had contacted retired legislator Daryl Weaver as a potential lower-cost option who could perform the work more slowly at roughly 10% of the quoted price. Later in the meeting staff (S5) moved to "see if Daryl Wheeler would do the audit for 10,000," and the court agreed to seek that answer at the next meeting.
Members asked staff to report back next month with availability, scope and a recommended approach that balances timeliness and cost.
