Mayor TJ Callahan presented Julie Masinelli with the Village of South Roxana’s Employee of the Year award for 2025 and suggested a new community event called "Muffins with the Mayor." Callahan also reported meeting with MCT to begin installing bus shelters at village stops.
Chief Bob Coles (identified in the minutes both as "Chief Coles" and as "Village Administrator, Bob Coles") clarified that former Lt. Jack Stalcup served the village for more than 30 years and described department actions after Stalcup’s death: officers spent time with the family on Christmas Day, the department sent condolences, and Chief Coles said a 14‑year‑old rape report that day required immediate police attention. The minutes record Coles’ remarks and his offer of support to the Stalcup family.
Separately, Trustee Terrah Bevolo reported she had booked Mr. and Mrs. Claus for the 2026 annual village Christmas event and noted there were no RSVPs yet for the Jan. 17 senior luncheon. The meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
