The Parks, Recreation and Tourism Commission on Feb. 23 approved an increase in field-rental fees, establishing $250 and $500 tiers with proceeds designated for Hallie Boys Baseball to cover batting-cage wear and tear. The commission noted the change has already been updated on the village website.
Board members said eight weekend tournaments are currently scheduled for the season, though none will operate under the new rate until organizers and renters adopt it. The minutes state the increase "will be allocated to and paid out to Hallie Boys Baseball noting the increase was based on batting cage ware and tare."
