Board accepts $248,275.50 bid for DCEO street resurfacing project

Mayor Terry Matthews reported a May 14 bid opening produced the single qualifying bidder that met grant requirements. Trustee Eric Stanton moved to accept D. Construction's bid and direct staff to prepare a contract for board approval at a subsequent meeting; Trustee Daryl Crudup seconded. The roll-call vote was 6 ayes, 0 nays and the motion carried. The board did not finalize a contract at the June 1 meeting; staff were directed to prepare contract documents for a future meeting.
