Cass County commissioners approve routine business, grant $200,000 to East Gull Lake and award infrastructure contracts

The Cass County Board of Commissioners convened Aug. 4 in Walker and approved its agenda and consent items, including warrants, personnel actions, and several service agreements. Administrator Joshua Stevenson summarized the consent agenda, which included two sets of Auditor Warrants and IFS batches totaling more than $1 million, and the Board unanimously approved the consent items.
The Board took several project and contracting actions: it approved a $200,000 Fund 73 allocation to the City of East Gull Lake for a regional trailhead and nature preserve, authorized a Sourcewell-procured HVAC control retrofit contract for $208,758.47, awarded Contract No. 60020 for roadway improvements to Midwest Contracting for $746,765.29, and adopted Resolution No. 41-26 to authorize final payment of $565,874.13 on the CM 2026-03 Roadway Chloride project. Chair Bob Kangas adjourned the meeting at 9:42 AM.
