Consultants told the commission they received strong public participation for the outreach phase. "The beach youth survey was sent out online. It was opened between January 7 and April 15... I believe at last count, over 700, responses," Beth Kermsy said, noting the results are preliminary.
Survey and listening session results showed the public ranks parking availability and restrooms among highest priorities and values preserving the beach's natural beauty. Open responses suggested willingness to consider adaptable, seasonal structures rather than permanent, fixed buildings. The team said those themes will shape conversation at the June workshops.
