Founder and Executive Director Ben Wozney presented a plan to convert 2214 Main Street into an appointment-only facility providing services for families raising children with disabilities. He told the board the main space will be the existing pole barn, to be upgraded for ADA compliance, and that the existing house on the property would be adapted for offices and caregiver quarters; no new building will be erected on the rear acreage as part of the initial proposal.
Board members asked questions about timing and safety; Wozney said caregivers would be on-site and the operation is intended to be appointment-only rather than an event space. The board indicated support for the applicant to proceed with staff and Planning and Zoning review. Mary Kate Boyle, a Johnsburg resident, voiced support during public comment.
