At the April 28 meeting the Haddonfield commissioners approved first readings for five ordinances and scheduled second readings and public hearings for Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The measures advanced on first reading were: 2026-07 (Amend Chapter 114 — Fire Prevention), 2026-08 (Create Chapter 115 — Fires: Outdoor and Open Burning), 2026-09 (Amend Chapter 48 — Recreation Utility), 2026-10 (Amend Chapter 199 — Streets and Sidewalks) and 2026-11 (Amend Chapter 135 — Land Use, various articles).
Mayor Siedell made each motion to approve first reading and Commissioner Troy seconded; each motion was approved unanimously. The minutes record the ordinances were accepted on first reading without substantive on-the-record public questions at this meeting; staff presentations or ordinance texts will govern the May 26 hearings.
