The Housing Authority approved Resolution No. 628, amending the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with Laborers’ International Union of North America Local #1686 effective July 1, 2026. Secretary Kaitlin Leary told the Board negotiations were intensive: "it was a marathon day of negotiation, as the Union came with nine requested items," she said, and reported that five items were tentatively agreed while four remained at status quo.
The Secretary estimated the tentative agreements would increase costs by about $26,000 for 2027. Commissioner K. Vauthier moved to approve Resolution No. 628; Commissioner Bjornemo seconded and Chair A. Vauthier declared the motion carried unanimously.
